According to the published photos, the car will be presented in 2018, and that is in 2018 when the car will start to compete with such popular models as the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3. The car will be designed on the basis of the model T-Rock, which the world community has seen in 2014. However, T-Cross is second to the prototype T-Roc in respect of the size.

The novelty will be built on the chassis MQB, which is modular. The weight of the crossover will be reduced due to this, and many of the details of the car will be harmonized with other parts of Volkswagen Group cars. As for powertrains, it is likely that the brand will come to nothing more than 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel powerplants, though there is a possibility that the car will also receive a hybrid propulsion system, which is getting popular in Volkswagen Group.
