The new sedan reminds the American Passat. Nevertheless, the cars have different platforms. The Passat uses PQ46 base, while the seventh Jetta has changed PQ35 platform to the MQB modular one. The novelty has also got the new glazing scheme. Behind the back door there is added the third window. The wheelbase and length of the car has the additional 50 mm. The front and rear optics has an original design. The front part is also supplied by a large grille.

We can just suppose what will be installed under the hood of the new sedan. The set of motors will depend on the market. Most likely it will be 1.5 and 2.0 V4 in combination with the eight-step automatic transmission. Given Jetta’s importance to the North American market, it can be predicted that the car will debut in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show or in January 2018 in Detroit. The Company intends to deliver the novelty in the same year.
