Volkswagen Beetle goes to a rally

Chicago division of Volkswagen of America, and Andretti Autosport racing team presented a joint project – the hatchback GRC Beetle, designed to address the local championship rally-cross Red Bull Global Rallycross (GRC).

Beetle GRC will debut at the end of this season in the championship of Red Bull Global Rallycross running Tanner Faust and Scott Speed. Both drivers delighted at the prospect of managing new Beetle GRC, which is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine TSI turbocharged 544 horsepower.
