Volkswagen T-Roc can boast of first pictures

Volkswagen German Concern is going to present their new crossover that will take step under Tiguan model in the brand’s line-up on August 23. The public debut of the novelty is scheduled for the Frankfurt Motor Show holding in September. Volkswagen representatives decided to release a teaser image in the form of a design sketch to attract more attention to the upcoming event and give an opportunity to get a general idea of the future SUV.

The T-Roc SUV’s images confirm that the design of the production model is based on the concept car of 2014 year, presented at the Motor Show in Geneva. Thus, the new model will receive distinctive optics and a grille.

The upcoming Volkswagen T-Roc crossover is built on the MQB modular platform. The car will also share many nodes used in the Golf model. Most likely, the power unit of the future SUV will be presented by 1.0-1.8 liters petrol motors that will generate 105 or190 horsepower respectively, as well as 1.6 and 2.0 liters diesel engines, which can deliver 115 and150 horses. As for the transmission, there will be two available: the six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed automatics with a double clutch.
