The new crossover from Volkswagen Company made its debut

Volkswagen brand brought a new concept equipped by an electric power unit at the Auto Show in Shanghai. The I.D. Crozz novelty was created on the MEB base developed by German engineers for models with an electric unit. The concept has the next dimensions: 4625 mm long, 1891 mm wide and 1609 mm tall with 2773 mm wheelbase. The designers offered standard front doors and sliding rear as well as a lack of B-pillars.

Four personal seats and a panoramic sunroof with a gesture control and lights provide the crossover’s interior. The basic panel was changed by 5.8-inch display; the doors have got touch-sensitive panels. The list of equipment also includes a self-driving option that can be activated via touch of the VW logo on the steering wheel. After operation, the steering hides into dashboard and four laser scanners appear on the roof.

I.D. Crozz concept is technically supplied by two electric motors: the 102-hp one on the front axle and the 203-hp at the rear. The combined output makes 305 horsepower. There is also installed li-ion battery with 83 kW/h capacity. The crossover can accelerate up to 180 km/h and move 500 km at one charge.
